Parents/Guardians and Non-Scouting Youth
We’re very excited that some Colonies have offered parents and guardians the chance to attend this amazing adventure… as well as some non-Scouting siblings, in some cases.
So…. what do they require?
Check with your GC!
Our guidance below is based upon Scouts Canada standards, but please check with your Group Commissioner in case they have any additional requirements. They will need to approve your AAF in order to attend!
Parents / Guardians
Parents and guardians will be attending the event under the supervision of your Scouters, but will need to be listed on your AAF. For this, they will require the Adult/Parent Helper role in MyScouts.
The requirements for their screening include:
- ZSigned Code of Conduct
- ZExpectations discussion / role explained
- ZMust be supervised during the day
- ZPhysical fitness form
Non-Scouting Youth
If a parent, guardian, or Scouter has a non-Scouting youth accompanying them (including members in Guiding), they will also need to be listed on your AAF.
They wil also require:
- ZPhysical fitness form
- ZIndividual Hold Harmless
Follow guidance!
Please refer back to Scouts Canada’s Volunteer Screening Procedure for more details.
Any attendees who arrive at check-in and are not on your approved AAF will not be permitted to board the buses.
